Joint Siting
The specification for joint siting depends upon the type of slab supporting finishes and whether finishes are bonded or debonded. The relevant detail below should be extracted and included into the Specification Details.

Ground Supported Slabs with Bonded Finishes
Ti-Lock joints should be installed directly above and be continuous with construction joints in the slab. Bay sizes should be formed to comply with the relevant National Standards, an extract of which is noted in Table 1 above. (See Figure 1.)

Ground Supported Slabs with Debonded Finishes
Ti-Lock joints should be installed in bays of a size to
comply with the relevant National Standards as shown in Table 1 above. (See Figure 2.)

Suspended Slabs
Ti-Lock joints should be installed directly over all beams (at A ) and at the mid-points of slabs (at B) where anticipated deflection is greater than 20mm. In all events bay sizes formed should fall within the requirements of the relevant National Standards an extract of which is shown in Table 1 above. (See Figure 3.)

Joint Depths
Ti-Lock joints may be installed between adhesive fixed or bed
fixed finishes. Full details are included in the Ti-Lock installation
datasheet which is available on request.
